Groom Team England was formed by a group of enthusiastic, competitive people….Joanne Angus LCGI, Zoe Duffy LCGI, Peter Ensell LCGI and Alison Rogers who put all of their business and grooming knowledge together to form this committee  and run an official Groom Team England.

The aim is to enable groomers from England to compete at the highest level of International grooming events.  A bank account was set up, sponsorship raised and any shortfall was self funded to enable them to reach the World Team Championships, held this year at Milan 2007 (see page). The main sponsor at present is Red Cape – professional grooming and show suppliers.

Grooming workshops and seminars (see page) are continuously being organised to raise awareness of Groom Team England and to enable funds to be raised. Also, it is important that the professional grooming industry is promoted through these events to encourage up and coming groomers to participate in qualifications and competitions.

The support of fellow groomers is paramount to any success. It means the team committee can continue to move forward with workshops and training for team members who are selected by the working group from experienced, competition winning groomers.

The four original members have now formed a committee, which includes Diana North LCGI and Rebecca Ensell.  The Team will consist of four members selected by the committee from the most consistent winning groomers at the time.  The Team will run for two years before reselection of members.
