GROOM TEAM ENGLAND SUCCESS
Zoe Duffy
of Look North Grooming & Training Centre Ltd, Keighley, West Yorkshire,
has earned the title of
Oster Europe Grand Champion
at the
Invitational Tournament of Champions in Prague.
Zoe flew to Prague for the competition on the 2nd November for which she was invited to enter along with 24 other top groomers from all over Europe. Competitors came from Belgium, Italy, Czech Republic, Netherlands, France, Spain and Scandinavia and of course the UK.
Prior to the competition, Zoe had not seen the dog that she would go on to win with as the Bichon Frise was selected for her on arrival in Prague. Zoe does however breed and shows Bichons and so was not daunted by the prospect of not having met the dog previously.
From the 25 competitors, 6 were selected as finalists, which included 3 from Groom Team England; Zoe Duffy, Alison Rogers and Peter Ensell. Zoe went on to win the competition and was presented with a plaque, Oster scissors, a rosette and €1500.
Zoe, who has been grooming for 18 years and tutoring for 15 years, is one of only three British winners of the Oster International which has been running for many years. She has also competed twice by invitation in the World Championships held in America and has won many competitions including Groomer of the Year, which is held in the UK. |
